Do you ever feel like you are never making progress? No matter how hard you work or press forward you seem to take no ground? Today I have a prophetic word just for you.
I Heard The Lord Say, “Keep Kicking!”
I remember when I was a little girl trying to learn how to swim. They didn’t have those awesome cute little life jackets with the floaty arms. No, I had a piece of styrofoam with a canvas belt strapped to my back. From the moment I got in the water the war to just keep my head up was on! You had to kick like a motorboat just to keep from being pushed under. I don’t know who the evil mastermind was that created that device, but I am blessed to have survived it! Even though it was a struggle, I was not afraid because I could always see my daddy. He was always nearby ready to pick me up if I got too tired of the fight. Eventually, I did learn to swim and even ventured out into the deep end where all the big kids played.
Sometimes when setting out on a new adventure with God, I still feel like that little girl with the styrofoam float. Have you ever felt this way. If so I hope that you will be encouraged by this prophetic word.
Prophetic Word: Keep Kicking
Child, I know that you sometimes feel stuck like you are just treading water and not making any progress. With every kick of your feet and wave of your arms victories are being won. As you tread against the circumstances that seems to be obstacles in your way, you are actually taking territory.
Keep Kicking
You are treading on the lies of the enemy and knocking down the high places built to gods that have been put before me. The gods of fear, doubt, and the approval of man must be torn down.
Keep Kicking
Your determination to come out into the deep waters with me is making you stronger. As you become desperate for my presence the worldly things that intangible you will be kicked to the curb. You will be lighter, stronger, and more free.
Keep Kicking
I am not disappointed in you. On the contrary! I see the effort that you are putting forth and I am cheering you on. Like a father encouraging a child in a pool to learn to swim, I am here with my arms ready to embrace you. Don’t be afraid. It doesn’t matter how hard the current pulls I will not let your drown. I am here with my outstretched arms. These are the same arms that have already defeated every enemy you will face. I just need you to join me in the victory.
Keep Kicking
I know you can do it because I have already seen the great things we will do together. I believe in you so you can to believe it too. Remember I have equipped you with every skill and strategy you need for this battles and the ones ahead.
Keep Kicking
As you tread you are…
- Destroying the lies of the enemy
- Building your muscle of faith
- Extending hope that will carry you out into the deep waters
I am with you now in your struggle and I am also here waiting for you in the stillness of the deep. It is worth the struggle! Don’t give up! You can rest, however, do so in me. Your hope in my promises w ill carry you through the night and prepare you for the next day. When you speak and declare my words in the daylight, they will still be working as you sleep.
Come on! I know you can do it! Don’t Give up! Just keep kicking! I am right here in front of you, Do you see my hand?
Let’s go on an adventure!
Yours Truly
I hope this word has encouraged you to keep treading ground towards your future and for your relationship with the Lord. Let me know in the comments below. I would love to hear from you.

Thank you my sweet sister!!!! I needed that this morning. God was having that same conversation with me this morning but I kept avoiding the issue. I too remember that horrible styrofoam mask you had to where on your back!!! Bahaha I had forgotten about it though. Thank you for that visual reminder of carrying that burdensome pack of foam! Even though it was burdensome, it helped you strengthen your muscles fighting g to stay afloat until you were ready to swim on your own. Also thank you for the visual of our dad waiting at the end with a smile on his face encouraging you to the other side. I woke up feeling God was disappointed with me for taking so long to get out of this wilderness!!!! I love you!!
